Today is a momentous day in the world of ReadCube.

That’s right, the new ReadCube Desktop is here, along with ReadCube Pro!

We’ve been hard at work for quite some time on this major update, and we’re really really really excited to share it with you. This isn’t any run-of-the-mill update, either. It represents a huge step forward in software functionality available to researchers in general. Here’s what the newest ReadCube update has in store…we think you’ll love it:

A brand new look!Much as we love what we’ve done with ReadCube so far, the more we built great new features, the more we wanted to give the app a facelift. Thus, for both the Mac and PC versions, ReadCube has a shiny new UI!

Introducing SmartCite, ReadCube’s new, easy to use citation tool for Microsoft Word. Use it to cite articles from your ReadCube library, or directly from PubMed. SmartCite also makes collaborating on your next paper a breeze.
Announcing Sync!Part of ReadCube, Sync keeps your ReadCube library up to date across all your devices. With unlimited cloud storage, Sync ensures that your lab computer has the same papers as your home computer, with a secure backup in the cloud to boot!

ReadCube
also includes:Advanced Metrics – ReadCube doesn’t just tell you what articles cited the one you’re reading; it’s the only tool that can also give you the actual text of the sentence containing the citation, helping you keep track of the impact after publication.Watch Folders – let ReadCube know which folders on your computer to monitor, that way any article you download is automatically imported to your library, no matter how you downloaded it.

We’d love to hear what you think of it, so drop us a line if you have any questions, comments, or passionate speeches.
