Papers for iOS is a universal app: run it on your iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and sync with Papers for Mac and Papers for Windows.
Papers 3 for iOS is now available at a special introductory price, but for a limited time only. You can take advantage of the special pricing in the App Store.
Please note that Papers 2 users will need to upgrade to Papers 3 for Mac in order to sync between Papers for Mac and Papers for iOS.
Papers for iPad and iPhone has been completely redesigned to become a powerful research literature manager, no longer just a companion to Papers for Mac or Windows. Take your library on the road or into the field, read articles, search for new content using any of the 25 built in search engines simultaneously, highlight, take notes, and make free-hand annotations on your PDFs in the much improved PDF reader. You can even view Word, PowerPoint and other document formats directly in the app. And of course, your work is synced back with your Papers library on your computer at home using Dropbox!
Papers for iOS now supports many of the same import and export formats (BibTeX, Endnote XML, RIS) previously available only in Papers for Mac and Windows. It also automatically downloads the PDF article you import to your library when searching.
Create collections (including hierarchies of collections), add articles to your collections, tag your content with keywords. Sort and organize your library effortlessly. Always find the content you need within seconds.
Take reading to the next level with the continuous annotation function. Highlight, underline, or strikethrough multiple passages in a few easy swipes. Add freehand annotations to your PDF articles, and navigate your annotations with landmarks.
The most important part of your library entry is central to Papers. View your metadata card for information about the article, viewing the notes you have added to it, and to assign keywords, labels, and ratings.
Need better metadata? It is just a click away. Match your content with a couple of simple clicks.
